like the player, BUT buyer beware. If you want to sign up for blockbuster ondemand rentals, you will need to purchase a samsung wireless lan adapter for $70.00
They should include this with player or blockbuster should give you credit for it. Still haven't purchased it yet, so no info on how it works. Nice feature to have but a major ripoff from manufacturer. Paid around $170.00 player and they want $70.00 for a liitle chip is crazy.

I received this player as a gift and was happy as I have many samsung products in my home. I reviewed the quick start guide and played a movie. Great picture. The next thing I looked into was the wireless feature. I did not have a wireless adapter so I went out and bought one. Can you imagine my suprise when troubleshooting, and after going through the installation cd process two times, to have found out that the darn thing doesn't work with any wireless adapter, it has to be a samsung wireless adapter? This information is conveniently left out of the quick start guide.
Needless to say, I am extremely upset that I purchased an adapter based on what I read in the quick start guide only to find out later that it must be a samsung adapter. I feel I have been deceived and may not make another samsung purchase again.

I thought this was a pretty cost effective and stylish unit. It plays blurays and dvds really well. It was easy to use and set up netflix. On the downside there is a lag in the response of the player. There is a loud half second buzz when it turns on. You tube navigation is difficult. If you want wireless internet streaming you have to get a samsung network adapter. I hardwired mine to the network so it would be faster. The movies stream really well. After a minute load or so it plays straight through. I think overall though the player is middle of the road.

The picture quality is pretty good and the little apps installed are awsome. Really easy to set up and it runs and loads movies fast for it's price class. All I can say is that it's not perfect but pretty close

Cons : I have same problem with firmware update freezing my unit bdp-2500 and tech support no help and they want you to pay to fix it . I was able to get it reinstalled and it works now :-) but samsung has some issues with the firmware that can render your machine a doorstop . I have installed five additional samsung blu rays for customers with no problems yet, Pros: - the price point = great and for netflix = priceless ,and hopefully samsung will fix issues with firmware sooner than later,- dont buy refurb -it only has 90 day warranty
